Our salsas are essential ingredients in some great recipes. Read any of the recipes below to find out how you can use Gringo Salsa.

Gringo Foods

Gringo Chicken Tortilla Soup

Ingredients 

1 Cup cooked chicken cubed

1 Jar of Gringo Black Bean And Corn Salsa

1 lb Velveeta cubed

2 15oz Chicken Broth

1 – 15oz Canned Corn (Drained)


Instructions 

  • Stir the broth, chicken, salsa, and corn together.
  • Simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Add cubed Velveeta. Cook until cheese is melted, stirring frequently. This is great, made in a crock pot!
  • Serve with Gringo Tortilla chips.

Gringo Chili

Ingredients 

1 1/2 lb of ground beef (browned)

2 15oz Cans mild chili beans

1 Jar Gringo Sweet Onion Salsa

1 Jar Gringo Mild Salsa

1/2 Cup of water

1 tsp of salt (Or salt to taste)​


Instructions 

  • Combine all ingredients and simmer until flavors are blended. Serves 4-6.

Gringo Cornbread

Gringo Cornbread

Ingredients 

5 lb of Chicken or Pork

1 Jar of Gringo Hot Salsa

12 oz crushed unsweetened pineapple

1/2 Cup of honey

3 tbsp soy sauce

1 tsp. ginger​


Instructions 


  • Sear the meat on both sides over high heat on the grill.
  • Mix Gringo salsa, pineapple, honey, soy sauce, and ginger in a bowl.
  • Coat the meat with the salsa mixture and place in a baking dish.
  • Bake in a 350-degree oven for 30 to 45 minutes until the meat is done.
  • *Please note that baking reduces hot variety to a medium spice level. For a mild flavor, use a medium variety.

Gringo Cornbread

Ingredients 

2 Jiffy Cornbread Muffin Mix boxes

2 Eggs

2/3 cup 2% Milk

1 Cup Gringo Black Bean And Corn Salsa

1 Cup 4 Cheese Mexican Blend Shredded Cheese

1/4 Cup Honey​


Instructions 


  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • Mix all the ingredients together. Let set for 4 minutes.
  • Re-stir and pour into a greased muffin tin.
  • Fill 1/2 full to allow the cornbread to rise.
  • If using a 9 × 12 greased pan, bake for 20–25 minutes until the top is golden brown or the toothpick comes out clean.

Gringo Meatloaf

Ingredients 

1 1/2 Lb of Ground Chuck (Can Substitute Ground Turkey)

1 Cup Oatmeal

1 Egg

1 Jar Gringo Sweet Onion Salsa

1/2 Cup of Ketchup

1 Tsp. Salt


Instructions 

  • Mix the ground chuck, oatmeal, and egg in a large bowl. Mix in a small bowl salsa, ketchup, and salt together. Add half of the salsa/ketchup mix to the meat/oatmeal mix. Blend well. Place in a loaf pan. Top with the reserved salsa/ketchup mixture. Bake in a 350-degree oven for 1 hour.

Gringo Hawaiian Chicken

Ingredients 

5 Lbs Chicken

1 Jar of Gringo Medium Salsa

10 Oz Crushed Unsweetened Pineapple

1/2 Cup Honey

3 Tbsp Soy Sauce

1 Tsp. Ginger​


Instructions 

  • Heat honey for 1 min. in the microwave.
  • Whisk honey, ginger, and soy sauce in a 4-quart mixing bowl.
  • Add salsa and pineapple (do not drain), and whisk all together.
  • Heat the grill to high temperature, sear chicken until golden brown.
  • Place in a baking pan. Pour mixture over chicken, cover, and bake at 350 for 1 hour.
  • Serve over a bed of rice.

Gringo Party Dip

Ingredients 

2 - 8oz. Blocks Cream Cheese Softened

1 Jar of Gringo Black Bean & Corn Salsa

1 Chicken Breast, Cooked and Shredded

1 - 8oz. Package (2 Cups) Shredded Mexican-style Cheese


Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • In an 8×12 casserole dish, spread cream cheese, then layer salsa and chicken. Top with shredded cheese.
  • Bake for 15–20 minutes until thoroughly heated. Serve with Gringo Tortilla Chips for dipping.
